The majority of retailers selling Duvets, Pillows and Mattress Toppers import in large volume from the Far East.

This can mean your bedding spending up to a year in stock prior to ending up on your bed.

A month long container journey by sea will likely be followed by a spell in a warehouse. Finally it will be despatched to the end retailer who will keep it in stock until purchased.

We take a different approach at The Duvet Store and only sell products manufactured in Europe.

Indeed the majority of our bedding is actually filled to order and despatched directly to your door within a few days (or sooner if you are in a hurry!).

Furthermore. unlike most producers, we do not purchase feather & down fillings which are tightly compressed into bags for transit prior to manufacture. We insist on loosely packed large bags to ensure quality is not compromised through excessive pressure.It may cost a little more but we believe the investment is essential.

The result - a fresher, plumper product which is genuinely as good as new when you open it!
